Brighten and calm your skin with Moroccan Nila Powder, known for its anti-aging and anti-inflammatory benefits.
Anti-inflammatory: Moroccan Nila powder has anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it beneficial for soothing and calming irritated skin. It may be useful for people who have skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea.
Anti-Acne: Moroccan Nila powder may also be helpful for people who have acne-prone skin. It has antibacterial properties that can help reduce the growth of acne-causing bacteria on the skin.
Anti-Aging: Moroccan Nila powder is rich in antioxidants, which can help protect the skin from environmental damage that can contribute to premature aging.
Fights Hyperpigmentation: Moroccan Nila powder may also be useful for people who have hyperpigmentation or dark spots on their skin. It has a natural blue tint that can help even out the skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots over time.
For the hammam process: In a bath or shower, mix a half teaspoon of Nila powder with 2 tablespoons of Moroccan black soap. Massage in circular motions and let it sit for 10-15 min before rinsing with water. Follow with a kessa glove to remove dead skin from the body and rinse.
As a skin mask: Mix 2 tablespoons of either natural yogurt or a clay mask with for ¼ to ½ teaspoons of Nila. Avoid adding more, as a little goes a long way! Optionally, add a few drops of argan oil. Apply to face and body and wait 5-15 minutes before rinsing with water. Repeat this process 1-2 times per week. Moisturize when finished.

Common questions
Nila helps brighten dull skin and even out the look of your skin tone over time, especially on areas like underarms, elbows, knees and dark spots. It is also loved for calming the skin. Nila brightens, it does not bleach or lighten your natural skin tone. Results build with consistent use, so most people make it a weekly ritual.
Mix ¼ to ½ teaspoon of Nila with 2 tablespoons of plain, unflavored full-fat yogurt (Greek yogurt works great) or a clay powder like Ghassoul Clay. A little goes a long way, so resist adding more. Never mix Nila with plain water alone. If you avoid dairy, clay plus a splash of Rose Water is our favorite swap.
Not when it is mixed correctly. Authentic Nila does not dissolve in water, so mixing it with water alone or using too much powder is what causes a blue tint. Stick to yogurt or clay, and rinse your tub after your mask so it does not sit on the surface. If you did use water, wipe the mask off with a damp cloth before rinsing.
Use your Nila mask 1 to 2 times a week, not daily. Leave it on for 10 to 15 minutes, then rinse and follow with a moisturizer or a few drops of Argan Oil. Keep it away from the eye area. For dark circles we recommend Prickly Pear Seed Oil instead.
Our Nila is 100% pure Indigofera tinctoria sourced from Morocco, with nothing added. It comes from the same indigo plant used for laundry bluing, but ours is processed for cosmetic use so it is suitable for skin. It has a natural earthy, fermented scent. A simple check: stir a little into water and leave it for 24 hours. Real Nila separates from the water.
