Made from saponified olive oil and scented with pure essential oils, our Moroccan Black Soap helps to soften and exfoliate the skin. Rich in vitamin E, it can be used for simple cleansing or to soften the skin prior to exfoliating with a Kessa mitt. It can eliminate excess oil and dead skin cells from the pores, leaving you with silky, radiant skin. Ideal for all skin types.

Gentle Cleanser: This soap has only three natural ingredients. It generates little foam like other soaps with harsh, drying sulfates. Instead, it gently cleanses and exfoliates the skin while moisturizing and softening. 

Ideal for All Skin Types: This soap is ideal for all skin types, especially sensitive skin that is easily irritated by harsh chemicals and fragrances.

Skincare Benefits: Rich in vitamin E, Moroccan black soap is made of olive oil, which is packed with vitamins and nutrients that soften the skin. It also has many antioxidant benefits that can help prevent signs of premature aging. Olive oil can also improve the skin’s ability to heal itself from scars due to its high vitamin K content. 

Multi-purpose: Moroccan black soap can also be used as a daily face wash, body wash, shaving soap, and for facial exfoliation. 

For the hammam process: In a bath or shower, apply a tablespoon of black soap on wet skin. This hydrating soap will immediately create a rich lather, but generates very little foam. Massage in circular motions and leave on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing with water. For best results, use an exfoliating mitt to scrub away dead skin cells.

As a body wash: replace your body wash with black soap for silky, smooth skin. Use with a loofah or exfoliating glove.

As a shaving soap: Exfoliate your skin with a scrub or exfoliating glove. This helps to prevent ingrown hairs. Then, apply a dollop of Moroccan Black Soap and lather until creamy. Shave your skin as usual, using the soap to help glide the razor.

For facial exfoliation: Apply Moroccan black soap to your face, avoiding the eyes and mouth. Massage and rinse off. Moisturize with argan oil or your favorite moisturizer.

How do you use Moroccan Black Soap for a hammam at home?

Steam in a hot shower for 10 to 15 minutes, then turn the water off. Apply about a tablespoon of Moroccan Black Soap to wet skin, massage it in and leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse it off completely, then scrub with a wrung-out Kessa Glove using firm back-and-forth strokes. Finish with Argan Oil on damp skin.

Can I use Moroccan Black Soap every day?

Yes, as a regular body wash it is gentle enough for daily use with your hands, a loofah or a net sponge. The full hammam with a Kessa Glove is best once a week, or every two weeks, so you do not over-exfoliate.

Can I use Moroccan Black Soap on my face?

We do not recommend it as a daily face wash, since it can feel too strong for facial skin, especially if you are sensitive or acne-prone. For your face, our handmade bar soaps are the gentler choice.

Which Moroccan Black Soap scent should I choose?

Unscented is made with Argan Oil and has no fragrance or essential oils. Lavender and eucalyptus are scented with pure essential oils. Vanilla is sweet and cozy, oud is warm, musky and unisex, and mocha is a rich gourmand scent. The scent stays lightly on your skin after rinsing.

Is Moroccan Black Soap good for sensitive or eczema-prone skin?

It is made from simple olive oil soap, so many people with sensitive skin use it happily. Choose the unscented version if you react to essential oils or fragrance, patch test first, and skip the Kessa Glove on any irritated or broken skin or during a flare-up.

Again, I love that all of their products are natural/organic. The Aker Fassi provides a beautiful color for the lips and cheeks! It lasts on my cheeks all day, even in the hot sun. I have yet to to try methods to get it to stay on my lips all day, but the color is lovely, and I believe it would complement all skin tones. A little goes a long way!

Wow, where do I start... I love this Kohl so much and I wouldn't change anything about it! A year ago, I was in Jordan and bought an $8 kajal/ithmud in Petra, and it was made in India with a plastic applicator. It was fine to use for some time, but I realized whenever I got it under my eyes, it was very smudgy and stubborn to remove. Skalli Essentials kohl comes with a PERFECT natural applicator, and the black powder itself is very easy to remove and wipe away. At the same time, I don't know how it's possible, but I can also do perfect winged eyeliner with this without adding water! It lasts all day, even when I'm hot outside. I don't notice the product getting in my eyes, but if it does, I can't feel it at all because it doesn't burn. Follow the directions, and you'll get the hang of application. The only thing I'd say is that a bit of black powder comes out when you first open it, and each time the container is opened, a tiny bit comes out. It's really not bad though, just do it over the sink or any easy-to-clean surface. The results are amazing, long-lasting, and really do make my eyes pop, all with natural and organic ingredients(:
