The hammam process is one that men and women in Morocco have been using for centuries. Moroccan Black Soap gently exfoliates the skin and brings dead skin cells to the surface of the skin. Then, the Kessa Mitt is used to physically remove the dead skin and leave you with soft, silky smooth skin.

Made from saponified olive oil, our Moroccan Black Soap helps to soften and exfoliate the skin. Rich in vitamin E, it can be used for simple cleansing or to soften the skin prior to exfoliating with the Kessa Mitt. It can eliminate excess oil and dead skin cells from the pores. Ideal for all skin types.

Please note: Proper technique is required for visible exfoliation. Without full rinsing and skin preparation, you may not see dead skin visibly!

Brightens dull skin by gently exfoliating to remove dead cells and reveal a fresh, radiant glow.

Reduces ingrown hairs and improves texture by softening skin and unclogging pores for a smoother feel.

Deeply moisturizes and softens, nourishing the skin and leaving it supple and hydrated.

Detoxifies and purifies as steam and natural ingredients draw out impurities and excess oil.

For the hammam experience in a bath or shower, apply a tablespoon of black soap on wet skin. Massage in circular motions and leave on for 5-10 minutes before rinsing with water. Then use the kessa mitt to scrub away dead skin cells. Moisturize your skin after the hammam.

What is in the Moroccan Hammam Spa Set?

One jar of Moroccan Black Soap in your choice of scent and one Kessa Glove in your choice of color, plus step-by-step directions. It is the easiest way to start your hammam at home.

How do you use the Hammam Spa Set?

Steam in a hot shower for 10 to 15 minutes. Apply Moroccan Black Soap to wet skin, leave it on for 5 to 10 minutes and rinse it off completely. Turn the water off, wring out your Kessa Glove and scrub with firm strokes. Moisturize afterward.

Will I really see dead skin come off?

Yes, when the technique is right, and it is the part everyone films. The most common misses are not enough heat, rinsing the Black Soap off too soon, and scrubbing under running water. Steam well, leave the soap on, rinse it off completely, turn the water off, and scrub with firm back-and-forth strokes.

How often would I do a hammam?

Once a week or every two weeks. It is a full skin reset, so there is no need to do it more often.

Can the Hammam Spa Set help with keratosis pilaris or strawberry legs?

Many customers find it helps their skin look and feel smoother, since Moroccan Black Soap softens buildup and the Kessa Glove lifts it away. Consistency and moisturizing afterward are key. Be gentle and skip scrubbing over irritated skin.
