Handmade in Morocco, these traditional Moroccan M'hekkas are made from terracotta clay and used on the feet, knees, elbows and other rough areas that require more exfoliation. It sloughs away dead skin and calluses to reveal soft, supple, and smooth skin.

Please note: Each M'hekka is handmade by skilled artisans. Slight variations in size are a natural part of this traditional craftsmanship.

Every M'hekka is shaped and carved by Hasan and his son Mohamed in their workshop in Agadir, then sun-dried and fired for 48 hours. Meet Hasan and Mohamed.

Soak your feet in warm water for 10–15 minutes or wait until after a warm shower. Wet the M'hekka thoroughly, then scrub feet and other rough areas in gentle circular motions to exfoliate and soften the skin. Rinse well after use and allow it to air dry.

How is the M'hekka different from a pumice stone?

A pumice stone is gritty and can feel scratchy. The M'hekka is carved from terracotta clay and fired for 48 hours, so its textured, unglazed surface glides over wet skin and buffs away rough skin more like a polish. It stays hard when wet, lasts for years, and many customers with sensory sensitivities find it far more comfortable.

How do you use the M'hekka?

Soak your feet in warm water for 10 to 15 minutes, or use it right after a warm shower. Wet the M'hekka thoroughly and scrub rough areas in gentle circular motions. Just water is fine. Rinse it after use and let it air dry.

Can I use the M'hekka on my whole body?

No, it is too strong for everyday skin. Use it only on rough areas like heels, the soles of your feet, knees and elbows. For the rest of your body, use a Kessa Glove.

How long does a M'hekka last, and how do I care for it?

Rinse it under warm water after use, using a small brush if needed, and let it dry completely. Store it in a cool, dry place. With proper care it lasts for years. Please keep it for personal use, since it cannot be disinfected between clients.

Will mine look exactly like the photos?

Close, but not identical. Every M'hekka is shaped and carved by hand by Hasan and his son Mohamed in Agadir, so size, carving and texture vary slightly from one to the next. The rough, unglazed surface is intentional, it is what lifts dead skin.

Again, I love that all of their products are natural/organic. The Aker Fassi provides a beautiful color for the lips and cheeks! It lasts on my cheeks all day, even in the hot sun. I have yet to to try methods to get it to stay on my lips all day, but the color is lovely, and I believe it would complement all skin tones. A little goes a long way!

Wow, where do I start... I love this Kohl so much and I wouldn't change anything about it! A year ago, I was in Jordan and bought an $8 kajal/ithmud in Petra, and it was made in India with a plastic applicator. It was fine to use for some time, but I realized whenever I got it under my eyes, it was very smudgy and stubborn to remove. Skalli Essentials kohl comes with a PERFECT natural applicator, and the black powder itself is very easy to remove and wipe away. At the same time, I don't know how it's possible, but I can also do perfect winged eyeliner with this without adding water! It lasts all day, even when I'm hot outside. I don't notice the product getting in my eyes, but if it does, I can't feel it at all because it doesn't burn. Follow the directions, and you'll get the hang of application. The only thing I'd say is that a bit of black powder comes out when you first open it, and each time the container is opened, a tiny bit comes out. It's really not bad though, just do it over the sink or any easy-to-clean surface. The results are amazing, long-lasting, and really do make my eyes pop, all with natural and organic ingredients(:
