- Anti-inflammatory: Moroccan Nila powder has anti-inflammatory properties, which makes it beneficial for soothing and calming irritated skin. It may be useful for people who have skin conditions like eczema, psoriasis, or rosacea.
- Acne: Moroccan Nila powder may also be helpful for people who have acne-prone skin. It has antibacterial properties that can help reduce the growth of acne-causing bacteria on the skin.
- Aging: Moroccan Nila powder is rich in antioxidants, which can help protect the skin from environmental damage that can contribute to premature aging.
- Hyperpigmentation: Moroccan Nila powder may also be useful for people who have hyperpigmentation or dark spots on their skin. It has a natural blue tint that can help even out the skin tone and reduce the appearance of dark spots over time.
- For the hammam process: In a bath or shower, mix a half teaspoon of Nila powder with 2 tablespoons of Moroccan black soap. Massage in circular motions and let it sit for 10-15 min before rinsing with water. Follow with a kessa glove to remove dead skin from the body and rinse.
- As a skin mask: Mix 2 tablespoons of either argan oil, rose water, natural yogurt, or a clay mask with for ¼ to ½ teaspoons of Nila. Avoid adding more, as a little goes a long way! Optionally, add a few drops of argan oil. Apply to face and body and wait 5-15 minutes before rinsing with water. Repeat this process 1-2 times per week. Moisturize when finished.
