This natural mask deeply exfoliates and softens the face and body. Because it's rich in vitamin C, it evens the skin tone and fights hyperpigmentation. In Morocco, it's used to brighten skin discoloration on the body like dark underarms.
For the hammam process: In a bath or shower, mix a dollop of black soap with Tbrima powder and apply to the skin. Let it sit for 2-5 min before rinsing completely with water. Follow with a kessa glove to remove dead skin from the body and rinse.
As a skin mask: Mix 2 tablespoons of water for every 1 tablespoon of Tbrima. Optionally, add a few drops of argan oil. Apply to face and body and wait 5-10 minutes before rinsing with water. Moisturize when finished.

Common questions
Tbrima, also called bride powder, is a traditional Moroccan herbal blend used in the hammam. Ours combines Ghassoul Clay, chickpea, rice, rose, chamomile, lavender, licorice, rosemary, turmeric and Aker Fassi. It buffs, softens and helps even out skin tone, leaving a soft golden glow.
In the hammam, mix Tbrima with a dollop of Moroccan Black Soap, apply to wet skin, wait 2 to 5 minutes and rinse before using your Kessa Glove. As a mask, mix 1 tablespoon of Tbrima with 2 tablespoons of water, apply to your face or body for 5 to 10 minutes, then rinse and moisturize.
Yes, many customers use it as a face mask or gentle scrub. The herbs can feel a little cooling, so patch test first if your skin is sensitive. For very sensitive or combination skin, Ghassoul Clay or Red Clay may be gentler.
Tbrima contains Aker Fassi, which is a natural pigment, so be careful with towels and clothes while it is on. It rinses off your skin and should not stay in your tub.
Each jar is 150 g (5.3 oz), and a mask takes a tablespoon or two, so one jar covers many hammam sessions. Mix only what you need each time. Leftovers keep in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
